ARE WE RIGHT FOR EACH OTHER?

If you're passionate about your music but know that as good as you are, you still have to work hard at promoting yourself and your show with us....

If you can be organised and respectful of our soundperson, staff and the other artists by knowing where you have to be, getting there on time, being co-operative and reasonable and supporting the other artists....

If you do everything you can to promote your show, through websites, myspace, emails, texts, flyering, ringing and hassling
friends, family, contacts, getting in touch with press and radio, playing and flyering at open mic nights and other shows and advertising/announcing wherever and whenever you can.....

If you're confident you can bring 15+ people to see you play and can commit to not playing another London show 10 days either side of your date with us....

And if we we like your sound......

WE'D LIKE TO HAVE YOU PLAY

PLAYING AT ELECTROACOUSTIC CLUB

A lot of time, effort and enthusiasm goes into booking, organising, promoting and
running
shows at electroacoustic club so we're fussy about what we expect from acts.

Our main venue, The Slaughtered Lamb is probably the most intimate and atmospheric in London, with the best sound. We only book the best, most interesting and diverse acts, who can benefit from the fact we get labels, managers, agents and press regularly attending shows.

We re-book acts who we like to support signed/name artists where possible (Stephen Fretwell, Jack Penate, Kate Walsh, Findlay Brown, Lou Rhodes, St Vincent and Alberta Cross and are some of the artists who have played at electroacoustic club) and to play the festivals (Wye Fayre) and other events (In The City, The Great Escape, etc) we're involved in.
If you're local, coming along to a show, seeing what and how we do things, where we do it, and saying hello before you get in touch by email helps.

the electroacoustic club organises and promotes diverse music events, including open mic sessions and live band gigs, in unique venues in and around central London.

Electric and acoustic performers, blues, R'n'B, folk, anti-folk, soul, jazz, rock, post-rock, roots, reggae, country, alt-country, poets, MC's, trombones, comedians, laptops & anything that is just plain good, original and unique is welcome on our stage.

OR MAYBE NOT?

If you're not fussy and want to play as many gigs and as often as as you can...

If you're prepared to play for any old dodgy promoters in any crappy old venues, with a random assortment of ropey acts through a nasty PA with a clueless soundman who couldn't tune a radio....

If you think you can turn up late to soundcheck having made no effort to promote the show because you think you're so good that you shouldn't have to make sure people come to see you and, anyway, you want to play to 'new' people and you've heard there's usually a good crowd at electroacoustic club.....

If you think it's fine to talk through another act's performance then go upstairs to the bar after your set for the rest of the night....

If you play cheesy, fluffy, corny, predictable, derivative music that's all been done before.

PLEASE DON'T WASTE OUR TIME OR YOURS

APPLYING TO PLAY A SHOW
