THE ELECTROACOUSTIC
CLUB OPEN MIC RETURNS TO THE SLAUGHTERED LAMB ON MONDAY 30th JULY.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE!
OPEN
MIC TIMINGS
The open mic session starts at around
7.30pm and each act gets 2 songs.
Please don't ask to play more than 2 songs or for any other special treatment.
Also don't play your 2 longest songs/jazz odyssey just for the hell of it
as it tends to annoy the audience as well as us. Think 'less is more' and
leave them wanting more.
We
don't know how long your songs are but 8 minutes is usually the longest you
shou;d play for. The earlier you get there the better the chance of playing.
Running order is decided on the night and acts who register first get priority.
Things usually go on until 11pm, although both bars are open til later, so
we can carry on if it's a busy one.
PA/BACKLINE/EQUIPMENT
We have all the necessary equipment (microphones
,
stands, mixer, leads, monitors, soundman etc) so all you need to do is bring
your instrument(s). There's no house piano/keyboard but there is a keyboard
stand and you might be able to borrow a guitar from one of the other performers.
