THE PHILOSOPHY

electroacoustic club is all about being good, passionate, credible promoters, putting on a great show, full of talent, intensity, eccentricity, humour; full of surprises, and continuing to push the boundaries, shatter preconceptions and exceed expectations.

It's all about live
performance of original and diverse music and encouraging an open-minded and receptive audience, all in the most intimate and atmospheric setting you can imagine.

It's about
trying to do things a little differently to the standard 'acoustic night' format; finding the cosiest, coolest, most distinctive venues you never knew existed, with the best sound, comfiest seating and moodiest lighting to create a unique atmosphere for performers and punters alike.

the electroacoustic club organises and promotes diverse music events, including open mic sessions and live band gigs, in unique venues in and around central London.

Electric and acoustic performers, blues, R'n'B, folk, anti-folk, soul, jazz, rock, post-rock, roots, reggae, country, alt-country, poets, MC's, trombones, comedians, laptops & anything that is just plain good, original and unique is welcome on our stage.

THE HISTORY
Walrus to Bear to Lark to Lamb

electroacoustic club is most at home in the secret, tucked-away, intimate venues that you never heard of before.

Things started out upstairs at the Walrus Social in Waterloo
in March 2004. The venue, with its kitsch wallpaper, pink neon stage lights and disco ball, was an instant hit with performers and audience alike.

We've been at The Slaughtered Lamb since October 2005, apart from a brief period when a Camden Council Licensing Officer visited and suggested we were breaking the law. Which we were. We spent a couple of months across Clerkenwell Road at The Bear On The Square on St Johns Square, a brief spell at The Lark in The Park and then got licenses sorted out to make an emotional return to The Slaughtered Lamb, where we are now bedded in 5 or 6 nights every week.

It's about giving the most diverse artists and performers the opportiunity to perform, interact and collaborate; for new acts to gain experience and get the chance to play alongside more established acts; for the more seasoned performers to experience something fresh and unique and hopefully pick up some new devotees in the process.
